A World Heritage site, the city of Ravenna is a fine travel destination with tourist attractions including colorful mosaics, historic buildings and natural reserves with unique and striking natural landscapes.
Since 2011 the cruise terminal of Ravenna has welcomed many cruise passengers every year – almost 50,000 in 2017, with the ambition to reach 200,000 in the long run.
The city launched a participative planning phase to address the mobility problems of cruise passengers that travel from the port to the main attractions of the city and its surroundings.
A low carbon transport plan was devised, improving territorial accessibility, sustainability and attractiveness.
